New research estimates that a worldwide planting programme could remove two-thirds of all the emissions that have been pumped into the atmosphere by human activities, a figure the scientists describe as “mind-blowing”.
“Without freeing up the billions of hectares we use to produce meat and milk, this ambition is not realisable.”
So all you gotta do is give up eating meat and we could reverse all the damage done.
Giving up meat and planting some trees could reverse all the damage we've so far done to the planet. I'm not often militant vegetarian, but at this point meat is morally indefensible.
